The Birch Forest in Reci, the place where we had our first trip

It's been several years since I was there, by bike, on foot or on horseback, but I’ve always thought of the Birch Forest in Reci as one of the county’s countless natural attractions. I didn’t expect it to become one of my favourite places.

It was spring time, maybe the most beautiful day of spring. Everything was tranquil, and there were only the two of us. The parking lot was full of cars, it’s true, but the many tourists were scattered in the two-thousand-kilometer area, and honestly, they didn’t bother us.

We had not planned to go days in advance, nor had we planned to spend the whole afternoon there. We were walking in the pleasant sunlight, talking and getting to know each other, since we had barely met before. And time just flew so fast, it passed differently there. Everything was still, peaceful and silent under the green leaves.

The Birch Forest became Our place! It is much more than something, where everyone can have a rest, refresh, relax, go on a tour, or take a long walk. It is our perfect place! I felt its magic that spring day, and I sincerely wish others could discover it for themselves.
