About

🎨 The retrospective exhibition features ink drawings created by József Haller in the 1970s and 1980s, in which Haller uses the dramatic power of the line to illustrate the general aspects of the human condition, sacrifice, and existential loneliness, as well as the artist’s pastels, which constitute a particularly sensitive and nuanced chapter of József Haller’s oeuvre and focus on the fundamental questions of human existence, as well as mythological and biblical themes. At the same time, the exhibition also features sketches of dolls, full of life and with a unique character.

🌟 The exhibition displays works owned by the artist’s son, István Haller, as well as works from the collections of László Szepessy and Dr. Csaba Salat. In addition, the selection is complemented by works from the collection of the Mureș County Museum and the György Bernády Foundation in Târgu Mureș.

👨🏽‍🎨 József Haller was born on January 24, 1935, in Satu Mare.
