"COVID26" Exhibition – Nicoleta Gribincea Liciu and Lucian Liciu 🎨

The Arcuș Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Union of Visual Artists – Sfântu Gheorghe Branch, is organizing the "COVID26" exhibition between June and July 2026, signed by visual artists Nicoleta Gribincea Liciu and Lucian Liciu. 🖼

The exhibition brings together a selection of works created during the pandemic, reflecting the experiences, tensions and transformations generated by this unprecedented period. The paintings capture aspects of daily life deeply affected by the spread of the virus, but also the conflicts, anxieties and interpersonal disputes that marked those years.

Through an expressive and personal visual language, the two artists propose a reflection on the fragility of the human condition, on isolation, adaptation and resistance in the face of unpredictable realities. The exhibited works transform the collective experience of the pandemic into an artistic testimony about memory, vulnerability and hope.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM, in the exhibition hall of the Arcuș Cultural Center – Casa Muzicii (Strada Oltului no. 6, Sfântu Gheorghe).

On this occasion, art historians Vladimir Bulat and Kopacz Attila will speak. The event will be attended by artist Nicoleta Gribincea Liciu, along with her family members. 👪

Following the opening, the public is invited to a chamber concert held by violinist Zoltán Piroska and pianist László-Levente Szabó-Siklódi. 🎵

The musical program includes:

Joseph Haydn – Sonata for violin and piano in G major, Hob. XV:32;
Silvius Leopold Weiss – Sonata da camera no. 7 (transcription for piano);
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Sonata for Violin and Piano in C major, K. 296.

🦠😷 The "COVID26" exhibition offers the public the opportunity to rediscover, through art, one of the most complex and challenging periods of recent history, transforming the experience of the pandemic into a dialogue about memory, society and humanity.
